If you know but you don’t do, then you don’t know

I haven’t had time to post much lately, I spent a week in Panama City, FL for spring break, and then almost a week and a half in Nashville TN with my buddy Nathan. Nathan is trying to convince me to go to Tokyo in a week or so, which is actually almost working except I really need to do my taxes cause I’ve been putting that off.

I realized over the last year… the ball of energy, thought patterns and ingrained mental pathways has slowly made it’s way to the more negative side as opposed to the positive side it was a year ago. I think secluding yourself for work would do that to you … :p  I realized it when I came back from my vacation and lay in my bed in retrospect, and thought about how ever so subtly during my vacation I was wanting something other than what was right before me. Not in a major way, but just in a very deep, subtle and elusive way that would slightly tint the flavor of my experience instead of being in my natural state of happiness, light on my feet.

As such, Since I’ve been back I’ve been devoting hours of my time each day to changing my thought patterns through long introspective and meditative walks along endless streams, mountains and fields out here (I actually have this sick video on my phone of this 50 foot high waterfall I climbed to, I will try to upload it).

It has really been beneficial in that I’ve started to see old patterns emerging that I never noticed before, blind spots per se. It has allowed me a higher vantage point to notice things that I never did before.

Anyway, I’m working on two projects right now that I am going to devote all my time to, instead of spreading myself too thin. Food is beckoning me.

Oh yeah, and if anyone needs to outsource an iPhone/other smartphone app, contact me on aim at: Solar. My buddy’s company has very good reviews, and I know when you’re searching for people to outsource smartphone apps it can be quite difficult to find non-sketchy people who turn your app into a bag of rice.

PS. If you have an iphone, download the game Uniwar… and also plants vs. zombies. Both those games fucking rock my world.

Just hangin out

Hey guys,

Just briefly, I’m officially moved out of CA right now. I’m hanging out in SC with my buddy rock climbing, bouldering, hiking, camping, etc. All that good outdoorsy shit that attracts girls that need to shave their legs.

My wonderful business partner and I are working on an offline/online business, and this is going to be epic. It could be what my entire marketing ‘career’ has led up to. She is a super great person, with tons of knowledge. Having started a few companies herself, and having done nothing of the sort myself, there are a lot of valuable things I can learn from her. She is eloquent with her tongue too (muahaha). If you talk to me on AIM or something I can tell you about it if you’re interested.

In the meantime I have a few things running that are making a little bit of cash but I don’t really care about them — This is going to be fucking EPIC, and I spent like 100+ hours programming the backend, only to realize it needs to be more efficient and it must be done over in a more streamlined way. Good thing that came out of it was I learned an entire programming language in the process :] PHP is the shit… everyone always told me I should learn it, and up to a certain point in my career I had never needed it so I put it in the back of my mind. Now that I’m quite good at it (or at least I could do what I need it to do… not at the level of making the next wordpress or anything though).. it is THE best thing ever. So many problems I had before that I thought were ‘unsolvable’ … problems I didn’t even look into solutions thinking there was just no way, turns out are easily solvable by PHP. Here is a VERY awesome tutorial section, although to actually learn it you gotta write some of your own scripts.

We have tapped only a fraction of the market share, and made a substantial amount. All that’s left is to work out all the many kinks and then release the floodgates of this extremely targeted, wonderful traffic .

Time for more sushi.

The Lesson You Gotta Learn Once…

1 month vacation, several hospital visits, a stolen phone, sleepless nights, and many take-out dinners later, there’s a lesson that everyone’s gotta learn once. That is, you need to learn how to spend wisely, and also the importance of the people in your business who support you while you learn said lessons (you know who you are guys!).

I, as well as you, have probably heard it a thousand times, and it just goes in one ear and out the other. Well, I have learned this lesson, and it has taught me well. Like my about section says, I’m all about experiences, and it sure was an experience (to die for).. haha sorry couldn’t help it. It taught me 1000x over, and I’m very thankful for it. My good buddy who has been in the same situation but after selling businesses and experiencing it on a much higher level pulled me aside and reassured me, and made an extremely good point. He said that it’s great I went, and had that experience, because say I didn’t go… say my income was 10 or 20x higher, and I went out then… without having that experience to look back on it could have happened then, with a much greater fall. Scotch and milk, homie.

All in all, I got to see all my loving family, got some gnarly puncture wounds, visited vegas and all and all had a riotous time.  It was an absolutely epic vacation full of so much vibrant color and texture that coming back to the desert is like sanding my junk with sandpaper. Quite comforting in a way though because it’s time to get serious about making it all back, and not making the mistake again. Onward Captain Bones! The great news is the hard part of readjusting is over, and I’m already on my way to profiting again back up to what I was making before (and higher), as well as giving my fucking awesome biz partner a much needed break. I have several things up my sleeve w/ media buys as well as FB (never thought I’d be doing FB but I got a tip from a lil birdie).

Cheers

PS. You know, at first this blog was about adventures, but those are so close to me I can’t quite capture them here in the same way where you can experience them, without an insane amount of description and pictures (travel blogs). Also, this blog isn’t about money making tips, there are plenty of those. Maybe this should be about the learning process I have encountered as I evolve to experience incredible wealth (which I’m gonna guess ends with getting tired of it, and living in a cave eating bugs, or sailing around the globe with nothing but a boat and a tattered grubby burlap purse with a few oranges in it). I dunno, maybe it should just be a porn blog

Vegas!

Just got back from an amazing vacation with my family and a detour to Hilton Head Island to visit my dad. Had a wicked time and it totally inspired me to look into getting a yacht or at least a nice catamaran to cruise around on the ocean. Can’t afford em yet but it’s around the corner ;) The scenery in Michigan is meh, cause I grew up there, but Hilton Head was so inspiring… the houses, the beaches, the wildlife, the marina’s. I unearthed a new love for marinas… totally didn’t see that one going.

In other news two new AWESOME sites have been released by the owner of PPC-Coach as well as various partners for each site.

I signed up for MediaBuysCoach.com right away, a fantastic resource for learning media buys. This is very advanced and each campaign requires $1000 in testing alone, but this is the top of the top. If you have money this site is a MUST… it’s absolutely incredible, and the creator Carl is a great dude who is very helpful. These are the types of campaigns where you bank $200k/month. My new goal is $10k/day within 3 months, and $1 million+ profit within 1 year. As soon as I get back from Vegas I’m gonna throw up 3 or 4 media buys and see where they go. I’m shooting for $500/day with my first ones and then I’m going to scale them up and shoot for a few bigger buys.

In other news if you can’t quite get the hang of PPC-Coach, or you have a very low budget, check out AFTCoach.com (Affiliate Free Traffic). This is another site that was just released and this is for beginners because it doesn’t involve PAID TRAFFIC like PPC does. You get your traffic for free doing article marketing. So, if you’re looking to just get your feet wet, have a low budget, or just want to see if you can actually make money online, this is a great place to start. Then again there’s always PPC-coach which is intermediate.
I talked to Coop, the guy in charge of setting up AFTCoach. I asked him a few questions regarding it as I’m interested in showing this to my family and brothers to get them warmed up to making money from your desk, and gaining full freedom to do what you would love to do…
He basically told me that when you do article marketing for the most part, it’s hard to make it take off unless you have the technical setup correct, with a few secrets that make banking money a lot easier. Even if you suck at writing you still can get some nice pocket change doing this. He said his goal is to have everyone making $1k/day within 6 months. I’m not sure how feasible that is, as I’ve never tried article marketing before, but I also asked him what the average noob can expect to make within the first month. His reply was $50-$200/day if you do it right. He also has tons of tutorials that are very basic step by step to help the new guys along, considering the site is meant for beginners. It’s a great start and while I haven’t tried it, it sounds great! Enough for me to get my family involved… I have another close friend who’s signing up and when he gets through I’ll ask him how it is and give you an honest review if I think it’s worth it.

I’m takin off for Vegas, PEACE!
PS. Black 13!

Pix of New Crib

It was interesting being without internet for 7 days, but I lived. I’ve finally moved into my new house and everything is set up for maximum profitage.

Here are a few pics of my room… specially zen-i-fied for the most enjoyable work environment that I feel. I’m thinking of getting 3 or 4 very large plants and placing them around the room, along with a few bonzai trees. Maybe even a pink flamingo.

Click on them to see full size.

feet

Yes… my socks don’t match. Sue me.

night1

My room at night. Thank god it’s not actually that orange. iPhone camera fails again.

panther

My sex panther lamp, graciously donated by my dad. Not sure where it’s been, not sure I even care to know. As well as my illegally soft and comfortable bed.

view

The view out of my window at night. I wish I had a better quality pic of this, because it truly is spectacular. You can’t make them out but there are mountains on the horizon.

sinks

My bathroom counter-top. Not quite sure what to do with 2 sinks, but I’ll figure it out.

bath

Pic of shower and tub. Exciting.
I hate to say.. but, I wasn’t sure what to do with a bath, so I took a bath in it. I haven’t taken a bath in like 20 years, so I mixed up some epsom salts and made a balancing bath. Pretty relaxing =)

Of course, then I had to put on my boosie robe and walk around with a pipe in my mouth, talking about ‘shedules’

Cheers!

Tweet.. Tweet… Into My Frying Pan

This is how I feel right now…

You should add me on twitter. I’m just now seeing the incredible potential of it. Here are two other great resources for mass following 100 people a day in your niche/unfollowing the punks that don’t follow you back, as well as for tracking your tinyurl’s.

I gotta admit I feel extremely gay posting on twitter from my phone… I mean really really gay. But, it has grown on me.. and it’s not so bad when you actually have followers. I think the first time I realized it was when I posted a funny pic from my roadtrip and got 40 people to click on it in about 8-10 seconds, and then a few commented on it and one retweeted it. My fellow partner in crime, miss leebo, has 15k followers, which I guess is really the pinnacle of creepiness, but that’s cool. Maybe some day I shall attain creeptweet status. To leverage the gayness I just say that I gotta ‘oh snap dude let me twat that.’

That brings me to the topic of my roadtrip… well it can’t really be described. I’d show you the videos but it’s best those not got out. It started off in vegas for my birthday, where I had some cake_02. We gambled a bit, fought some strippers, base jumped off a few casino high rises, had some more cake_03. The weather there is so freakin hot I don’t even know what to do with myself. The only thing I could think of was drink mojitos, sit at the dollar slots and shovel more fun fun cake_01down the hatch. I must have drank so many Gatorade’s that you should invest in their stock if I go back. On the way home in my friend’s Jetta, we saw 4 other Jetta’s on the side of the road because they broke down from heat. That was omen number one. The second omen was the temperature gauge on H. Omen three was the vultures flying after our car with laser precision for several hundred miles. Luckily our car died in a gas station where beef-jerky-trucker-voice-janice very kindly sold us antifreeze.

After that I returned home (but I hadn’t slept in my own bed yet) when my friend told me that they’re going on a 2 month roadtrip from the East to the West coast and all the way up and back again. They were stopping through Los Angeles for awhile, so on a whim I said I’d tag along with my buddy. We ended up going to San Diego for some time… good times a plenty there. I’m plenty tan now, I’ve almost reached Nigerian status. I can’t get enough though… Polish skin loves sun.

After that we hit up Hollywood (yawn), Venice Beach (wtf!), and more subways than you can shake a $5 meatstick at.

Yesterday and today I finally started my new business partnership with my good friend… he’s already spearheaded several projects that I’m helping him work on. I’m extremely excited for that, as well as a lucratively delicious business operation I’m currently working on. Today he informed me that he’s a “domain kingpin.” I thought about it, and I really like the ring of that… so when girl’s ask what I do, instead of telling them I do online advertising, I’m just going to tell them I’m a kingpin and leave it at that.

I should start writing more although I honestly I can see why writers go through writer’s block. There’s SO much that I can put in a post that you simply will never know, it’s kind of daunting to fit a 10 day experience into an inspiring post. I suppose that’s where humor comes in, as well as excuses to use delicious pixel art icons of cake. I’ll try posting more actual PPC tips too, I guess that’s why people come here. There’s a million other sites for that though… and generally they’re boring as hell – I try to keep mine leaning towards the adventure side.

That’s all I got.
